It's like a classic painting.. The lighting is excellent. Colours are also beautiful. This could have more power as a very large print.

I don't understand the "my last picture" title, I've never seen your work before to compare to, but I've been floored by this one. I absolutely had to look close to be sure it wasn't just a photo of someone's painting. This is exquisitly executed, the lighting is beyond any words I have to express. The choice and placement of props, the pose, the expression all just wonderful. There is a red color at the bottom left that distracts a bit b/c it isn't clear what it is, but dang, I can't complain more than that.

I hope the "last picture" thing is some kind of inside joke b/c I'd sure love to see more of your kind of work around here. I've given maybe 2 or 3 7's before, this is getting a pair of them and that's rare for me--reserved only for the photos I believe are amongst the truely great images of our time.

Why?. I hope I can see more of your Ideas.

This is an example how to make a excellent photo without of "electric" tools.

only in the classic way, using the light and composition guidelines.

First I wonderd about centering the person but looking closer I see an animal? layingat the end of the rope.

You used a Kiev shooting this photo. An other proof that the high-tech equipmentis not so important but the eye, idea and light-composition of the artist.

I'm kind of disappointed by the top rated photos for the past 3 days... but this one truely belongs at the very top. Your work has always been amazing, and in my opinion you're one of the most creative and best photographers on this site, or that I've ever seen. With photos that havn't impressed me one bit making the top of the top-rated list... I just had to comment on this one which is perfect.

I'm sure this isn't your last picture... I mean someone with your talent can't just stop, right? Not sure what that meant but keep up the great work.

Its really impressive. And what more it reminds me a bit of one of my last work, too. However I dont think Iam even close to quality you present. Regards PK.

This model is beautifully enigmatic and inviting Jorg. I love how she is gazing so comfortably at the viewer, and how the light is so gentle and warm. I see the rope and sacking, as well as the animal, and I am curious about the story or intention. But even without explanation everything seems in place, yet naturally so. Just the sort of picture I reserve my top rates for.

Of all the work I have seen in your folder this is my favorite. You have some wonderful pictures. Could you give us some background on the making of this picture

Jorg, this is your very best ever - and hopefully NOT your last...:-)

Darn fine piece of work with glorious luminosity. The elegance and poise displayed here is outstanding. Great hands. Great face. Great headband. I like the realisation of a cellar here and the way the viewer is lead into thinking this is below stairs. In terms of where light falls and doesn't I think a question mark is raised by the shadows in the models dress. For example the cat like shadow on her front and the appearance of brickwork where one might expect her right foot. What might be the cause? Likewise the wedge of light on the floor creating the appearance of a collared (and tethered by reason of the rope) animal with orange front feet. These questions aside and the interest they bring I sincerely hope to see more of your craftsmanship. Truly I do.

I can't add a lot to the well-deserved lauds this image has already garnered. However, I'd add the arcane point that you've caught the light in a manner that's almost as stunning as the work of Vermeer 350 years ago. When a photographer can do that, its an extraordinary act that shows an intense love for your art. Lovely work and I too hope its not your last.
