Jack, I have belatedly just seen your own comment.  Thank you so much.

In my opinion, the real star here was the wet pavement, as well as what Tony called the "delicious" light on the fire escape.  Unfortunately, I had no choice about the light or the rain.  This one was a gift. 

Stephanie's "cherry on top" metaphor pretty much says it about the wet pavement--and its reflective properties.
