Recommended Comments

1. Try to find more interesting subject.

2. 70-300 woks fine in 70-200 range, the closer to 300 mm, the worse image quality.

3. Only VERY expensive lenses can give you acceptable quality wide open, using aperture between 8 and 11 may improve sharpness and resolution of your lens.

4. Think about background - bright areas on the right part of your photo don't look OK... :-)

...but Jack has some good suggestions, some of which you could do in "post processing" - contrast, brightening the image and adjusting contrast (which will help with "popping" the colors.)
