Very nice composition, Nathan.  I like this a lot.  Great OOF background, head position is perfect, and the branch and foliage do not distract from, and in fact, add to the impact, with one exception.  One small nitpick...there is one bright leaf in the lower right which could be darkened slightly to avoid drawing the eye from the subject.  Other than that, it's a great portrait...great feather texture too. 

 

I've got these guys all over my feeders in back.  Very aggressive and territorial birds.  I've seen them chase away starlings (which is a good thing).

Yes, Dennis and thanks for the input. I agree with the comment about the bright leaf. They are aggressive and I've even seen them harass squirrels and chase them across the yard. Unfortunately, this one harassed a pair of bluebirds out of their box, but they relocated to a different one in the yard.
