Hi Jim,

This is a great action shot in my book. I like the sense of movement given by the blurred hooves. The gleaming sweaty horses are there and you've captured the sense of a neck to neck race.

If this is the kind of shot you're going for then I don't honestly know what you could have differently or better in terms of composition. Perhaps a slightly slower shutter speed (giving the illusion of more speed) but that's about it.
