This is not an hdr. I'm trying a different version of this shot using

some feedback from another photo. Let me know what you think.

However you have doen your p/p Don, this is a much more dramatic image with stunning results. The increased Saturation has made a big difference. Beautiful capture.

Warmest regards, gail

your editing style is very good. There's a lot of dynamic elements in colour tones and textures here but admittedly I find the wind mill in the background distracting not necessarily because of its presence in the scene but rather because of its proximity to your main subject matter. For instance, had it been located on top of the hill (on the far left) i'd have founds its purpose less distracting IMO

don,  you have most certainly raised the intensity levels here, with good results.  not sure if i understand arts feelings on the windmill.  to me the subject matter here would be the tulips the wind mill and the sky all with equal importance, its the three elements working together that make this such a lovely image.

Thanks for the great compliments and feedback.

Art: Thanks for the input. And i guess everyone is going to have there own perspective, and vision. I feel the same way as Roger, I think if you take out the windmill this shot would fall apart a bit. You got all these tulips in the foreground with varying lengths and depth. Then you have the sky, and i think what the windmill does is break up the sky, and adds a middle ground which in turn gives the overall image more depth. But thank you for your analysis of my image.
