overdiep 0 Posted April 29, 2012 Nice mood and lightening. I like the composition. I prefer this B/W, although the coloured one is also nice. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted April 29, 2012 When I looked at your profile page this morning I looked at the color image first and didn't even see the important shadows on the curtains. That is why this seems to work better, for me, in B&W. I love the way the natural light falls on her body and the way she is posed. I also like the way the curtains, with those shadows, work with her lace blouse. Link to comment
tonysvision 0 Posted April 29, 2012 This image is all about shape and light, so i agree with the others who prefer the black and white approach that emphasizes these aspects. To add further emphasis, you might consider a crop from the bottom to just below her hand, and from the left to just before her right knee. The important aspects remain, and the eye is not distracted by the pattterns of light and shadow in the image area below the window sill. A very lovely image, and pleasing use of soft backlight. http://www.tonymindling.blogspot.com Link to comment

sideris 0 Posted May 2, 2012 Strong contrasts again, but not as strong as to hidden a blooming inner world where she is submerged. The well focused profile and delicate neck curve leads me to her thoughts. Something is moving inside, silent sun coming through windows warms up the atmosphere, keeping her calm and centered, far away from sadness although memories. That's what I feel, the emotional density transmitted to me by this lovely composition. She has the perfect "physique du rôle" for this evocative style. Very well done. Link to comment
