This is probably best when viewed larger!

Thanks for taking the time to view, comment/critique & rate, and

providing me the opportunity to share!

I wish it had came out a bit sharper on the Gooslings, but I had to pick

a happy medium in a hurry as she was about to stand up and I would

have missed the shot completely.

I normally use a tripod, but thought I'd just take the camera in hand to

see just how close I could get!

Thanks again,

Jim j.

Jim, yes we were doing the same thing, lol. Great capture, I've never seen the little ones under moms wing. Pretty cool.

Beautifully presented image. wonderful detail of this Canad Goose and her goslings. They are so cute. I can't get over just how beautiful and well focused the plummage is. Very good work Jim!! Nice capture!

Warm regards, Gail

It's interesting that someone said your ahead by weeks in hatchlings. I just posted shots I took the other day here in PA in the US that the hatchlings are several weeks old. Please check them out and tell me what you think. The clear winner here is originality. Very well done. I would love to get that shot even framed tight from the side with just the heads popping out from under the feathers. Rarely seen shot. Congrats!

Many thanks to you all for your visit and taking the time to leave your valuable comments!

thom,   Surprised to hear that you have'nt any hatchlings yet! But "who knows" with this funny weather we're having this year! I do think they are early for us this year however! You shure their just not hiding under Mom's wing flaps? Just saying!

Mark,   I like your "The Leader" photograph, and it is great to see another POV of these little cuties!

kenneth,   Like above, . . . Great to see another point of view! And, . . . the funny weather, . . . You already have Gosling's in Pennsylvania, . . . maybe thom's just not seeing them because they are all hiding under Mom's wing flaps! ha!

Again, Many thanks to you all!

Sincerely,

Jim j.

Hi Jim, you seem to have the same feelings for wildlife that I do. Your portfolio of nature and wildlife is really lovely and often whimsical! Regards Louise

Mike:

Yes she was but she did let me get within about 30-40 feet from her but I was indeed making her very nervous! The two little guys didn't seem to mind at all though, . .  . go figure!

Thanks for your visit Mike, always look forward to them!

Louise:

Sorry I missed your comment sometime back. Please be assured though that it did not go unnoticed or unappreciated! I think I already reciprocated but I'll check!

Thanks again for your visits,

Jim j.
