Guest Guest Posted June 28, 2003 Patricia; this is a very aesthetically pleasing picture. Nice work! However, I find myself really, really wanting to know what is at the base of the trees-- a path? a road?, some people? maybe cars?-- this question gives the image either a mysterious quality or a frustrating quality-- I don't know which dominates in my mind? But a nice B&W image anyway. Thanks for rating my Trillium pictue, and maybe some others?-- don't remember. Cheers. Craig Link to comment
ben_crabtree 0 Posted June 29, 2003 I usually think that photographers pay too much attention to rigid "rules", but in this case I would have to agree with the "rule" that says you should show the bases of the trees. Link to comment
peta 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I agree with Craig about both a mysterious and frustrating quality to this, but the mysterious is winning in my mind. I love how trees form an arbor as these do...I have some like that near my home and just love driving through the tunnel like effect they give. I love to look up, and I see something like you have captured here...lovely. Link to comment
joe_garrick 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I'm really undecided on this one. As I wander around in the photo, my eyes inevitably land on a trunk, follow it to the bottom, and abruptly hit the edge with nowhere to go. It's a bit disconcerting, but still interesting. Link to comment
