Portrait, Coober Peedy - Australian Outback

Wow! Fantastic subject for a portrait. Color seems to have a yellow cast to it however

thanks ken, yeah i thought that? i was scanning the negative last night and played about in photoshop to remove the cast... however, i ended up going back to the original scan. I'm still not sure if its the film or the dusty australian desert atmosphere...? I'm just pleased i got lucky with the image and the gentleman's willingness to be photographed. I was in my van at the time and he had approached me to ask for directions...

Now that's a face with character.

I find this to be a tragic photo, it really sucked me in...the depth of it is great. I really dont think the colour cast really changes the image at all because of the strength of the subject.

It really is a great shot.

Normally the bright highlight would distract me, but here the power of the face just keeps my eyes from being drawn away.

Captivating.....Viewing this image, it really draws you in to the subjects feelings. Sometimes feel like that myself....
