Thank you John, I also regret I didn't manage to catch the dog. Was taking a photo of my husband and my son, when I noticed the girl running and turned the camera to her (honestly was surprised it came out on focus).

I fully sympathize! I can't begin to count how many times I've taken good photos that were inches away from being "great" photos. It just comes with the territory...unfortunately.
