Dave Gardner 0 Posted June 25, 2003 The reflection of the sun adds to the impact. This IMHO is an excellent shot.....nice work! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted June 26, 2003 This is a pleasing shot. I also think if the same shot had been taken at different times of the day, it would have made for an interesting series. Please feel free to rate / comment on / critique any of my photos. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted June 26, 2003 Good shot Darrell. I like the other more tightly cropped version which really pops the color Link to comment
jamesaikenphotography 0 Posted June 26, 2003 I really like the wonderful tones and colors. I also like the perspective. The reflection of the sun in the door distracts me and I end up just looking at that pinpoint of light. Nice work. Link to comment
livvie 0 Posted June 26, 2003 i knew something drew me to this ... ahhh whitby .. am far away now but remember it well. nice shot - like the subtle colour and reflection. david is right this subject begs a series. Link to comment
root 0 Posted June 28, 2003 I like the darker colors and the illuminated cross piece in the door. The proportions on the left work well and the sky exposure balances nicely. Now that we have the other to compare it to, I'd say that the location of the setting sun in this door frame is unfortunate and probably would have required a step ladder to improve it. I just cropped the left off the screen to a square, and think it's worth considering. Link to comment

jud 0 Posted June 28, 2003 The colors in this shot are extraordinary-- they look like wet paint. Well seen and nicely executed. Regards, Jud Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted June 28, 2003 I enjoy this piece much more than the other one that is on the "Top Rated Photos" page. The angle leaves more to the imagination. I like the washing of the sunset across the slats. The saturation could be pushed, I suppose, but it's not a top priority to me when I look at this photograph. Awesomely done! Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 556 Posted June 29, 2003 A nice one. (If this was mine, I would maybe crop that blue hut from left.) Link to comment
robert_gough 0 Posted June 30, 2003 This is my favorite of these that you have posted. Link to comment
will_herman 0 Posted July 1, 2003 I liked it better when you could see the individual colors, but this is still really cool too. Link to comment
