godfather 0 Posted April 16, 2012 Nice work. "life in the gutter" graphic outcome works really nicely. Link to comment
morophaenixmau 27 Posted April 16, 2012 Si, le macchine fotografiche sono importanti ma il "genio", se non lo hai, come fai a concepire una foto come questa? Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted April 17, 2012 Nice graphic image. In my opinion it will be stronger if you leave the tree on the right. Best regards. Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted April 17, 2012 thanks for your kind and interesting comments. overdiep 0 Posted April 17, 2012 Andrea, I mean that you could crop on the right side and that only the person is visible. Best regards. Link to comment
tonyfrench 0 Posted April 17, 2012 Andrea, I really like the starkness of the black and white, particularly with the white line breaking through the bottom. I could see a number of different crop ideas for this, each probably changing the dynamic quite a bit, and none probably as strong as this one. Link to comment

sideris 0 Posted April 28, 2012 Extraordinary creation based on a "less is more" concept. Huge spaces, solitude, a hot legendary wind, and all the context under an extreme contrast without a single nuance. Clever, original and done with mastery. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted May 3, 2012 Oooo! I like what you have here. Talk about tone compression! You've narrowed it down to the two extremes. Very graphic with the curb nicely breaking up the mass of foreground black. For me, at least, all the elements, including the tree, can stay. To satisfy the rule of thirds and, in my opinion, direct more attention to your subject person, I would crop out about half the sky area between the top of the tree and the top of the frame you present here. If that is at odds with your 'artistic license' then ignore that suggestion. After all, it's your shot! Best, LM. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted May 12, 2012 I think I like the 50:50 split between black and white. Very creative, eye-catching and original. Link to comment
dara 0 Posted May 13, 2012 The line that leads him out of blackness, heaviness. The light and what ever hope there is, is behind this darkness and on the horizon on the other side. Nice with the use of strong compositional diagnol line and straight lines also the graphic effect you have achieved here. The positioning of man towards the edge of frame but not on a 1/3 line shows perhaps his vunerability? There is a lot of ways to interpret this. I think perhaps the tree balances the image and adds a dimension, in any case it is another interesting graphic shape .Unique and engaging image. Regards Link to comment
