I love your shot of this boat! Wonderful colors, exposure and framing....you lucked out with an interesting sky too.   It's much better than mine.  A couple of years ago we spent about 10 days traveling between San Fran and Mendocino, and we discovered this boat as well.  The light was always too bright when we were there, but what a great subject for photography.  Just curious how you heard about it.  I used to subscribe to a newsletter called Photograph America Newsletter by Robert Hitchman, and he was the one who directed us to this spot.  I don't think I have any images from that trip in my PN portfolio.....maybe I should revisit them.  Thanks for sharing this!

Christal, I'm so glad you know of the spot. I found it on my own traveling in and out of Point Reyes over a period of years, and yes there were too many times when the light wasn't right to set it up, but this day was wild with intermittent rain, wind, cold, and the Mood! The angle here is purposeful to me. I wanted to catch it as if it was riding a wave of water. Other angles seem more generic.
