Over the years I've seen lots of photos of bees on flowers but this one may very well be the best of the lot. Perfect DOF, great exposure, excellent color.

Excellent sharpness and DOF. Warm, almost overpowering yellow works very well here.

Thanks for your comments - sorry for the big resolution, it was one of my first pictures which i loaded here and i have not noted the right size.

 

I'll rate this relatively high for asthetics due to the wonderful technical qualities (sharpness, exposure, DOF, detail) Composition is adequate but not particularly inspired. Likewise I just can't give high originality marks for such a staple shot that doesn't show me anything original. It is a beautiful image to be proud of.
