The Flower (l)

Love your background switch and lighting. You've

made it look like a painting. Great job!

The flower is nice and crisp and a nice change from the head-on angle we all do so often, but I'm finding this gradient effect on the background and frame awfully distracting visually, plus I think it's causing me some mental dissonance with respect to the lighting on the flower vs. the lighting on that background. I suspect your beautiful flower would do very well on a simpler background.

I was drawn to this flower by the background, the flower stands out incredibly well against it, the flower is excellent, I would love to know the software you used to get it so. I probably would choose a simpler frame, maybe just a dark blue one, but that is my taste, a great image well done.

bad. Don`t like the stem at lower left, notice

how the stem goes past the edge of the photo, over

the mat and under the frame. Now look at the top left, it looks like the planes are reversed. a=5

I like the contrast and sharpness. Very well composed.

I really like what you did with the gradient backgounds, the framing, and the stem. Excellent PS work, and I hardly ever like flower photos. A 7/7 IMHO.
