photographing cranes at the bosque, my problem typically has been too many birds in

the picture. with photoshop techniques i removed the extraneous birds to focus on a

key few. i'm always curious if my composites are convincingly seamless.

This is really quite nice -- great light and colors.  I'm not sure what you mean by "convincingly seamless," but this strikes me as an idealized photograph, created to show in one scene the variety of crane compositions that might be seen at Bosque del Apache.  As I look at this, I sense that cranes have been added from 3-4 separate shots.  That's harder to do than removing birds.  If that is, in fact, what you've done, I think the work is excellent.  Overall this has a painterly feel to it, and I think it's a good illustration of what can be seen of cranes at this refuge.
