laura2 0 Posted June 23, 2003 I wish I could be someplace like that. I like the very subtle details of the canyon. Link to comment

richard blount 0 Posted June 24, 2003 Hi Jim, The colour of the sky is wonderful, the rocks have just a small amount of perceivable toens left in them before the light vanished. The striking thing about this for me if the positioning of the man, it is perfect, the small hole just below him and the lightest bit of sky just behind. I love this and it lifts the image aesthetically so 7 definately for that - Richard. Link to comment
armindo_lopes 1 Posted June 24, 2003 Outstanding composition and great dramatic colors. The man standing up gives a good idea of scale in size... I really like this shot. Link to comment
peta 0 Posted June 24, 2003 Jim this is a very effective silhouette of the canyon against that amazing sky. Link to comment
walter_strong3 0 Posted June 24, 2003 The image all by itself without any explanation creates a very strong mood. I can just imagine this guy is contemplating jumping off into the abyss. Does that statement say more about the image or about me?! I might be tempted to crop off the top 1/4 if it were my image. Link to comment
nickolay_lavrik 0 Posted June 25, 2003 It is indeed an excellent image with a strong mood. Nonetheless, I have another cropping suggestion - cropping off approximately 1/4th from the right so that the contour of the rock will form a diagonal. Link to comment
mauricio alcaraz carbia 0 Posted June 25, 2003 Good composition! Makes all "outdoor" fans want to be there. At least...me. Link to comment
mclaine 0 Posted June 25, 2003 I like the composition, although as a paddler, it would be nice to see some of the water that Ben is surveying. I'm unsure about the dark treatment of the rock and Ben. I think I like it, but my eyes strain to see detail, they don't just relax and enjoy the shapes. I really like the sky. Link to comment

david_montroy 0 Posted June 25, 2003 Jim, I am sure you know the lyrics of a classic American song who says "If you're gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right". You play it as a master, I must learn if I can. Well, another excellent outstanding work. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted June 25, 2003 Dramatic, yet there is an essence of stillness and solitude. Very nice.... Link to comment
