Nice sharp shot, Per.  I like it. That 7D is a great camera to nail the focus, isn't it?  I could easily see a lesser camera trying to focus on the background trees.  Good job!

Thank you for leaving a comment. I totally agree with your view, and I too was somewhat impressed by the fact that the camera kept focus on the object rather than on the busy background. The birds are Eurasian Cranes and I took the picture at Hornborgasjön a couple of weeks ago. Since then the numbers of cranes has increased from 4000 to 26000. From a photography point of view that is not an advantage because it makes it more difficult to isolate a few cranes in such a busy environment.
