cisarano 0 Posted June 23, 2003 Nice study in color--I think the water droplets make the picture. Link to comment
thomas_breazeale1 0 Posted June 25, 2003 Lou Ann,what a pleasant surprise to see this image!I like the way you chose early morning to compose this, the blue cast exudes a coldness that could not be obtained at other times. Nice DOF,accentuates the water droplets but I think the washed out lower portion of the background is too distracting. If the lighter blue like you have above was carried into the lower section you might get a nice monochromatic effect. I also liked the use of professional film,a color palette that you could not achieve with digital...just the way it is.You are getting better Lou Ann.keep shooting! Link to comment

isometrixx 0 Posted August 11, 2003 One of your best, took a normal subject and took a abnormal perspective, I love the idea. Depth of field should deeper. Good work Link to comment
darien_hewett 0 Posted August 24, 2003 Beautiful color stauration. I think the shallow DOF draws the eye to the water droplets which are nice. Very good! Link to comment
ivan colman 0 Posted August 31, 2003 Great eye for detail, the waterdrops gives this photo a nice accent. Lacks a bit of sharpness Link to comment
mike_hodson 0 Posted October 27, 2003 Great shot. I agree with the other comments. A little more DOF might help but very well done, none the less. Link to comment
gabrielma 0 Posted November 12, 2003 Very aptly titled, and not just because of the color. The metal, the waterdrops, the tonality. Very very good! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 29, 2003 for me, this is the most impactful photo in your portfolio (199 photos!). the triangle at the top right provides depth. wish it were a tack sharper per the droplets on the interlocking objects. anticipate seeing number 200! Link to comment
ciofalo 0 Posted December 9, 2003 I agree with the above comment - this is my favorite in the whole portfolio. I may have a penchant towards "minimalist" photographs, but this is really nice with its monochromatic look and the drops. Not in your usual style, though - more like something from Carl Root's or "Pepe alias Boulette"'s folders, to cite a couple of well known PN contributors. If the original sharpness allows, it would be interesting to try alternative crops, e.g. leaving out the rightmost blue parts or having the hinge (?) lower in the frame rather than centered. But I cannot really tell from this small jpeg, all depends on what is in the original frame. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 11, 2007 Simply great! Well done. I could easily see this image being printed on post cards or in photography magazines or books. Link to comment
