Sorry to disagree with most of the comments above, but I think this among my least favourite in your folder. Not that that's exactly a damning condemnation, since the standard of your portfolio is so high overall. I think this image is superbly crafted, beautifully lit, carefully arranged. I agree with the poster who commented that the crop looks cramped at the top but my own disappointment with this is that she looks so, well, "plastic" compared with the majority of your portraits, most of which have an agreeable and lively natural sort of air about them and, to my mind, seem to reveal more character. The sitter here looks not just aloof but a little pained, to me. I don't think the pose looks natural at all.

 

Still, technically superb for all that, in common with the rest of your work.

Carl finds it the least favourable of all your works, but he thinks it is superb anyway. Weird! Anyway, I love the period setting and the lighting is very effective in highlighting the side of the body. Excellent.
