A couple of suggestions to improve the image. 1) Placing the tree in the middle is a distraction IMHO  You should possibly have moved to a location where the mountain may have been framed by the trees. 2) You are shooting at the wrong time of day, too much contrast in the image. 3) Maybe a neutral density filter to darken the back some?

I agree with Douglas. I have been caught traveling to some destination and for many reasons you cannot shoot during the magic hours and I will still grab a shot to remind me of the place.
