Siegfried,

Nice colors and details with a good background. However, if it were mine, I'd clone out those "orbs" to the right of the Frog that are visible in the background.

The "orbs" were probably caused by some sort of reflection off your lens, and something we can't always control at the time of the shot.

Regards always,

Jim j.

Thanks for letting me know what you think. Jim, the orbs are out focus highlights in the background (sky filtering through vegetation). I tend to like the bokeh of my Sony 18-250mm lens, but I can see how it could be distracting and appreciate you letting me know your thoughts on it. I guess I am happy the shot turned out at all. I had one hand on the twig, turning it to get the frog positioned right. And was shooting one-handed with the lens all the way out at 250mm in low light. I took quite a few images and this one was the best in terms of point of focus and overall sharpness. Thanks Ellery, I've been living here in Costa Rica now for 2 years. I've only run into these guys twice, but was lucky enough to have my camera with me both times. Their easy to walk right past. They stay still, even when you get close, so unless you keep your eyes peeled you'll never even notice them.
