I am rather flabergasted by the comment I just read. I do not understand why anyone would be so miserable. Makes me very sad Bill. I hope it doesn't do that to you. You don't deserve it.

Sometimes, in my opinion, a "simple head on shot" is the most difficult to "sell" to a viewer.  This one succeeds because of several strong elements - the natural skin tone, the facial expression, and the well managed lighting.
