jack-brittain 0 Posted April 1, 2012 It looks so much like a painting. I like the way the people are moving into this scene instead of leaving it. Pulls you deeper into the picture Link to comment

ryourth 0 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi Pierre-Why dwell on the technical aspects of this fine image. It is simply just a fine image to sit back & enjoy &feel yourself becoming a part of the scene Best Regards-Ross Link to comment

amysn 0 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi Pierre - I love this - gorgeous. Beautiful, slightly over-the-top colors, the swirl, the texture of the leaves mimicked on the bark of the trees, and the two walking down the leaf-covered path, all work together to give this a story-book feel, as if the two are willingly walking into a magical technicolor forest. Super work. Best,Amy Link to comment

malmer 0 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi Pierre,I like your composition, and the blending of a natural portrait and a background painted with Pixel Bender. Actually, I used a similar technique recently in my Early birds from Hornborgasjön (have a look if you get the time). This Pixel Bender is pretty new to me, but it gives you a great opportunity to give your photos an artistic flavor of a fairytale.Best regards Per. Link to comment

LenMarriott 9 Posted April 7, 2012 Though obviously manipulated this one appeals to me in a way that is different from your usual offerings. Guess I'm an 'inside the box' kind of guy. I agree with all of the positive comments above especially those referring to the painterly quality displayed here. Looks like the idyllic setting one would expect when reading 'Little Red Riding Hood' (substitute Pink for Red) on her way to Grandma's. No need to fear the wolf, she has a protector riding shotgun. Christal1664882414 0 Posted April 8, 2012 I love the pixel bender effect when it isn't done to an extreme, and IMO this is a perfect application of it! It's a beautiful and romantic image. Though the people are in the center, they are framed so nicely by the trees on each side. Just a great image! Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted April 11, 2012 Pierre, I don't want to seem to be picking nits on such a wonderful image. I keep coming back here and really enjoy this shot. I wonder what it might look like if you either toned down the white on the pond at the extreme left, or cropped that out. My eye keeps benign distracted by that hot spot in the image.Great job with Pixel Bender -- there is a lot to discover and work with there. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 306 Posted April 12, 2012 John, do you mean the reflections or the above rather creme color spot? I think the reflections logically and aesthetically belong there, the creme spot is a surplus all right! That's my view of the matter! Thank you for telling me this!PDE Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted April 12, 2012 Pierre, it is the hot spot to the left of the tree trunk. Maybe just toning them down so they aren't the brightest area in the print. Just a personal viewpoint. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 306 Posted April 12, 2012 Thank you John,I will fix it right away! You know, sometimes we don't see very obvious and attention dragging things!PDE Link to comment
