Nice image and good idea.  My suggestion would be to either show the legs and feet or to crop more.  As it is, the partial leg bothers me :)

I think it is a beautiful image the way it is. I think there is enough leg to give it balance but that is coming from someone that chops stuff off all the time.

I think this is an interesting image.  I do not understand it.  I do not really know the gender of the person, though I am reasonably sure this is a female.  I do not know if there is a ritual involved here or this is just someone with an elaborate tattoo who is posing.  It does not matter.  In terms of form there is nothing ambiguous.  The content is mysterious.  There always some mystery in a good work of art.
