mike_palermiti 3 Posted March 27, 2012 Hi Helen,A very nice capture.The Canon 70-200mm F/4 lens is a very good zoom, especially shot wide open at F/4. Using the 1.4X converter allows for the lens to perform well at F/5.6 . Your settings were spot on.Whenever a converter is used with a lens, it is best NOT to stop down the lens . So the F/4 to F/5.6 was the best setting to use with your setup.The selected area for best focus (the head) is all that is required to make this a most interesting image.I know that when I image small lizards, I am fortunate to get close, without them moving their head about, or running off to hide. Longer focal length lens provide the advantage to get closer with being closer to these creatures.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
