Shrimp

Here in Brazil this is called a camarão flower (shrimp flower).

Trying out a new north facing window lighting setup and focussing on

sharpness.

Comments appreciated.

Very nice.  Why did you include part of the second flower?

Stephen - I just left it in so the one large flower wouldn't look too unattached.

very nice rendition - sharp, good colors- this is one instance where the hdr worked! You probably could have  cloned out the yellow flower- really doesn't add anything.

This is an outstanding image!!  It has Sharpness, DOF, color, and the air to breathe.  Plus, it's a beautiful suject to work with.

I am sure you considered a tighter, square crop, but I would propose it anyway.

Yes Dror, I had in fact considered the square crop - as well a cloning out the little bud, but well, I just didn't! I appreciate your considerations though.
