Slot Triptych

marshall

In the slot canyons at Grand Staircase-Escalante N.M. Got the idea of playing a little with long exposures of people worming their way through the canyon.

The excellent Geraldine Allen, in looking at this shot suggested a triptych, and so I'm giving it a try here...

Tech details: E100G at f/22 and f/16 and a couple different shutter speeds.

Now that's good Marshall! Unfortunately you still lose one point on the count I would have liked a little less exposure. Nevertheless, it's gone into my highest rated pages. The passing of time is very apparent here, as well as the motion which conveys action, and the melding of people/rock offers much food for thought. An all round visual feast for the eyes.

This is great Marshall! Geraldine's idea of a "you know what" that T word is what makes this so intreging. It's as if she's comming at you, apearing for a brief moment, & then dissappearing into the canyon. Wonderful job you two. 7/7
