bridget_hunt 0 Posted June 19, 2003 This little man appeared quite by chance. Sean and I were taking a shot for a project we are working on. A sugar cube dropped into the cup and produced the resulting sculpture. We have since tried to create a female companion and have used over a thousand sugar cubes........ Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 19, 2003 For some reason as I look at this, I see in the splash the profile of a person sitting on a chair. God, I need a vacation again already... This would actually make for an interesting advertsing picture. I'd think however it would need a tiny bit of retouching to remove the splash on the back rim of the cup. Great lighting and exposure! I really dig the tones of the cup and saucer. An interesting departure for you that I really like. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 19, 2003 Mind you, I wrote the comment above just as you were writing yours, Bridget, so I guess I'm not the only one who sees it. Thank god...I thought I needed therapy. Link to comment

briany 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Beautiful tones on this shot. And yes, I definitely see a guy sitting in a chair. But a THOUSAND sugar cubes? Wow! I too would clone out the splash on the back rim of the cup. Link to comment
nicolasray 0 Posted June 22, 2003 Judging by the graceful curves and thin legs, I don't beleive that it's a man. This is a wonderful, simple print. Love it. I do agree that you should clean up the rim, make it really crisp. Still a perfect photograph. 10/10 Link to comment
bridget_hunt 0 Posted June 22, 2003 Thanks for all the constructive comments! I didn't clean up the rim yet to show that it wasn't digitally altered but I will! Thanks again to you all. Link to comment
steve_strawn 0 Posted June 22, 2003 I never get people sitting in my splashes. Maybe I just need to work harder at it. This is nicely done with cloud-person like splash. Kind of freakish, really. Link to comment
peta 0 Posted June 22, 2003 This is very cool and fun, Bridget. Not sure if I'd clean the rim, it adds a realistic touch I think, but that's just me. :) Link to comment
stacey_waselovich 0 Posted June 23, 2003 love the white on white, and the lighting, and the splash looks like a person! Excellent Link to comment
sergio_velho_junior 0 Posted June 26, 2003 Are you guys still doing therapy?? Count me in on that group discount too! Excelent work. Link to comment
bridget_hunt 0 Posted June 27, 2003 Have got a large group of people interested in group therapy, so the cost is low. Does that say something about photographers?.............. Link to comment
erin_____grasshopper__rice 0 Posted June 29, 2003 Excellent... I've been so busy with other stuff between the time I wrote "Excellent" to now(about 45 minutes) I've lost my train of thought. So, I'll just leave it at that. Link to comment
jay belton 0 Posted June 30, 2003 Well you can me in. I can count as three people. The photographer. The actor. The musician. :)You crack me up Bridget! Ms. "I am not that experienced as a photographer." (as per comments on my page). You humble yourself. I like that. Looking at this, I might like this shot in B&W too. But the guy in the chair. Uh... he kind of looks like our shrink? Link to comment
audrey lee reid 0 Posted July 2, 2003 Bridget, I've had such fun reading comments above and looking at this most unusual composition. Pricless. Link to comment
