Paying the bills and of course feeding your lovely family always comes first. Fortunate for you - you are doing so by working in an area of expertise that you enjoy most. Photo Restoration I'm sure is most rewarding. I've tried some 'easy' attemts with family photos, but to do it to satisfy customers, I'm sure it must take much more time and skill.

So glad you enjoyed this image, your encouragement is truly appreciated as is 'you taking the time to write your thoughts on this image' - especially when you are so busy.

I wish you every success in all your endeavours.

Sincere regards, Gail

Hello Tom!! I've missed you!!! I do hope you and your lovely wife are doing well. THANKYOU for dropping by, and for that 'WOW'. What a smile I just experienced after seeing your comment and YOUR NAME.  So glad you commented, as I just noticed that you have been posting over the last part of 2011 and into 2012.

I apologise for not checking to see if 'you were there'. I shall remedy that right away!

Fond regards, Gail

Gail:  I've been very busy with other life issues.  All is well with my wife and I.  Just to much stuff getting in the way of photo.net, but I intend to fix that.  Tom

Beautifully done yet again, and off course with my favourite color: purple.  I love the 'chrome' tones too.

Very well done!

Kind regards

Gail, I am not sure that I would know the difference between lotus or water lily unless I saw them side by side and maybe not even then. I really like the way the purple of the flower pops against the mainly silvery grey tones of the water and background. The reflection of the water has a nice glass like feel to it.

After all I've seen above it's getting more difficult to say something worthy. Please accept my telegraphic comment:  Don't change anything - the image has it's own personality and vision. Compliments!

While editing I found 2 different colours I could use most effectively and I liked the chrome the best. So glad you enjoyed this image.

When I decided to try to geta capture of this flower, I loved the sense of calm I felt while viewing it. The pond was quite still and I found the flower to be exquisite.

Truly appreciate your kind words, most sincerely, Gail
