k._knox 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Yes the straps. When I shot the photo I didn't see it, but it would be easy to tell the girl to hide. But I shot and finally I didn't want to make to many "digital changes" Needs improvement??????????????? Link to comment
mclaine 0 Posted June 20, 2003 I didn't realise there was a prior version of this one, I will look for it. Regards, Link to comment
tamaral 0 Posted June 20, 2003 There is person Margaret Meehan who rated this photo 1 1. How can someone rate a picture so bad and don't even leave a comment and explanation. Is it something personal?? Well anyway I think is rude and mean. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted June 21, 2003 I like it a lot. The straps don't bother me, as they actually provide an interesting contrast. It almost looks like a double dress in a sense, with a romantic look. She is very lovely looking. I like how the cross barely touches the "v" point of her cleavage, leading the picture linearly. The tones are lovely. Another big positive point is how the detail of the tank top is conserved in the hemming around the neckline. Very good Robert! Link to comment
bacsa 0 Posted June 21, 2003 damn, robert, when i first saw this, i said, "wow"[ yes, wow! aldo i did not write it down:) ], and gave out one of the very few of my ratings - a 7/7 ! Then you post the "original" with both girls, which i like even more. What the heck am I supposed to do now??? Link to comment
roberto4 0 Posted June 22, 2003 thankyou,You have already done it writing the comment! Link to comment
behemot3 0 Posted June 22, 2003 And again it proves that you have a gift for portreting people - and it is not just the technique - which is perfect - but the way they feel with you around so that the photos are natural and show the personality of the subjects. To jest to czego naprawde Ci zazdroszcze Robercie - ale coz moze sam do tego tez kiedys dojde - pozdrawiam z Koszalina, kuba Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted July 3, 2003 Tamara I was trying to make a point to Robert 0. It has nothing to do with you. Has he become aware of the point I was trying to make? On this photo and on other photos of his. Until I have some indication from him that he has 'got the point' my 1/1 stays. Robert is well aware of what I was doing, and why I was doing it. This photo in my estimation is really very good. There are a few points acknowledged by 'himself', that need improvement. I would normally rate it 5/5. Her hair fades into the background. There are a few over exposed areas in her skin tones. There is a white stripe along her nose for example. I am not fond of the crop. The lighting is rather flat, it seems to me. She is a beautifull model, beautifully posed. The tones add a softness to the overall appearance. The straps don't bother me at all. That is the way you see young ladies dressing now. Its realistic. mmmee 0 Posted July 7, 2003 Life is too short to be wasting time bickering over silliness. Here is my comment to you on my photo: Thanks for all your recent ratings Robert O. I really would like your comments/critiques, if you have time, though. You once made a remark about your English not being very good. I find your English to be just fine. I am always amazed when traveling in Europe how everyone knows 3, 4, even more languages. I like to attach comments to my ratings, so, please do not be offended if I cannot find the time to return your ratings. It takes me forever to look at a photo and decide what I know or don't know about it or the photographer's perspective of what he/she is showing us. When I am as experienced as you are, perhaps I could be quicker and more sure of myself. So, I shall come back to your June photo and change my rating and post this same comment. Its time to get on with making photo.net the place it should be. No more animosity and bickering. Hopefully. Link to comment
