s.wayne 0 Posted June 17, 2003 This is a rework of CarrieAnne~Reclining. I changed the center of the backdrop/background and cropped the top off. What do you think? Thanks to all for the input on the original. I really love the image. Link to comment
s.wayne 0 Posted June 17, 2003 Thank you to all for the input on the original CarrieAnne ~ Reclining. This is a rework of the image integrating some of your feedback. The center backdrop was changed and the top of the image cropped. I think it is a much stronger image. Link to comment
kevin_kolosky 2 Posted June 17, 2003 I have seen both. I think if you are going to go to all of this trouble you might as well go to even more trouble and really style the shot. I would make the curtains even in the background. It also seems to bother that the chair is pointed backward just a bit. She looks a bit uncomfortable! Why would she put her hands and arms out where there is no sofa? Lighting is wonderful. Tones are as well. Kevin Link to comment
mattb1 0 Posted June 17, 2003 I like this background better than the first, and the exposure is better. I kind of like the position of the sofa, just a little different to make it more interesting. I love her pose myself, makes a very elegant composition. There could be more detail in the sofa, it is a little like a black blob on my monitor (which at work isnt great). I think this is your strongest composition in this folder. Link to comment
james_oneill 0 Posted June 17, 2003 definitely a better composition, although it doesn't have quite the same 100 year old feel Link to comment
mclaine 0 Posted June 18, 2003 The position still looks uncomfortable. The backdrop at a glance is better, but the PS work looks clumsy, particularly through the arm rest of the lounge, which looks like you forgot to tone it to match the backdrop. Link to comment
root 0 Posted June 18, 2003 From a graphic standpoint, I like her line, which for some reason I read from upper right to lower left. . . . maybe because her upper leg appears a bit brighter than her arms. The darker leg bothers me a bit . . hard to imagine how the lighting created such a difference. It also appears that the arm of the lounge is more in focus than she is, although that may be intentional given the texture of each. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted June 18, 2003 Wayne: I like it better. The image is tighter and more focused. -Owen Link to comment
panzerwolf 0 Posted June 18, 2003 much better with the crop and skin tones... very tasteful...but the new background is too blurry behind the quite focused dark curtain... and be careful about your cut edges... Link to comment
neild 1 Posted June 18, 2003 I feel that the model's body appears too soft (dare I say blurred, or out-of-focus?). I can only assume that this is your intention, as the couch, both behind and in front of her, appears quite sharp. I'm not that familiar with the style you're seeking (was it early 1900s nudes?), so I don't claim to be an expert - please don't take my comment the wrong way; it is just my personal opinion, and besides the criticism I mentioned above, I quite like it. cconway 0 Posted June 18, 2003 I really like the way her back is arched and her body is stretched. It's a beatiful reminder of how complex the human body is. The background/chair doesn't distract me like most do... excellent job. Link to comment
roberto4 0 Posted June 18, 2003 The crop is very good, the blur is fine and the composition remainds me on old photographs. classic. The curtain would also match here! good job Wayne! Link to comment
peta 0 Posted June 18, 2003 Lovely Wayne, love the pose and send me the furniture! That's a very cool whatever it is called. :) Link to comment
sean_driver 0 Posted June 19, 2003 Lovely pose, great model, great lighting and good work with the props. You have created a great composition and it is really nice to see how the image has evolved. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 19, 2003 Wayne, this is very good! The pose is very nice and compliments the textures you have in the room quite well. The contrast and lighting is fantastic. One thing i noticed though, is the ackward positioning of her right wrist. (at least, to my eyes) Link to comment
alexz 0 Posted September 10, 2003 Beautiful and classy. The only slight detractor is that the lighting accentuates the model's ribs, which is mildly unflattering. But very well done, nonetheless. Link to comment
