This is my first decent portrait (IMHO). My opinion may be somewhat

obscured by my relation to the incredibly beatiful model (my daughter).

What do you think?

Grayham's crop does wonders, and his further work on her eyes and hair and overall sharpening (or so it appears) have also enhanced the photo.  All of these are just icing on the cake of a wonderfully happy and beautiful little girl.  Imagine this photo in 30 years....priceless.

So much of post processing is a matter of personal taste.  I am uploading my version of your cute image for your consideration.  Good luck.

Hi all,

Thanks for the input.

@Grayham Allott

I love your post processing and specifically your crop. The lines of the picture are much more accentuated in your square version.

@John Webster

Thanks for your input. As you say, post processing is also a matter of personal taste, and your version is a bit on the aggressive side in my taste. However, I can clearly see that you master the skills way better than me. I have only begun to scratch the surface of PP, and I am still only working in Canons own software DPP. All I do is some sharpening, some color tuning, some curve adjustment, some noise reduction and that is pretty much the contents of my toolbox. I am very interested to hear what you have done. My guess is some local brightening?? But as I said; I am a PP novice J

Regards,

Morten
