I ran across a similar cloud formation during a trip to Arkansas from Texas. I know how you felt, I only had my Olympus Digital with me but I shot it a thousand different ways as you don't run across this kind of thing every day. My problem was the trees. I was still in the East Texas and there are a million pine trees there. So, I think this works great without the trees. You lose some perspective and this image really becomes an abstract but for those who have witnessed this kind of storm, you know exactly what it is. I like the colors and how they work together. It is a nice image. Thanks for sharing.

I think this is beautiful as it is. I am not quite sure if it is "earth-like" or "heaven-like". It has a kind of twilight zone mysterious effect on me.

Don; this is an amazing photo for being unmanipulated. Beautiful, and nice work!
