lou_erbisen 0 Posted April 20, 2001 Absolutly marvellous picture ! The non-film gives all details with great precision and the frame is perfect. (sorry for my bad english : I'm french) Link to comment
tmjacobs 0 Posted April 20, 2001 Thanks Lou, but it's not 'non-film' - I don't know how that got there. I've tried to change this in 'Fuji-Sensia', but this is just added to it, instead of replacing it. Actually it's a colorslide scanned with a Minolta scanner Link to comment
dan_woodlief1 0 Posted April 20, 2001 I would like it even better if the light in the foreground wasn't so bright, but the exposure of the interior is great, and I love the contrast of light and dark, together with the shadows from the columns. Link to comment
tmjacobs 0 Posted April 22, 2001 Difficult to choose the right exposure, any tips welcome, thanks Link to comment
laurie young 0 Posted April 22, 2001 I love the symmetry and the patterns of this shot Link to comment
tom_menegatos 0 Posted April 26, 2001 I'm viewing this on my laptop and the ceiling looks pitch black. I hope that's what it looks like in the actual photo too. That makes it look like you're looking into a box. As if these are just windows into another world from a dark empty place. Very very nice! Link to comment
rickey_andrew_mead 0 Posted April 27, 2001 I love the light, the dark, shadows, the herring bone walk. Simply a great photo ! salut Link to comment
yannick_beauvalet 0 Posted May 20, 2001 You captured a wonderful momment of light and to me, that is what its all about. I'm just not that good at it yet. Link to comment

brian_kennedy 0 Posted September 16, 2001 Tremendous shot, Theo. This one caught my eye first of all of your very nice Italy/Spain photos. A very strong graphic. Link to comment

think27 0 Posted November 15, 2001 Wow, it took me a very long time to figure out this one!! I think I'm right in what I deducted.. This is a hallway and that is natural light in a courtyard. Maybe some figured it out right away, but not me! It looks like an independent structure with lighting inside. It wasn't until I really examined the dark patterns above that I realized it is a ceiling and thus.. a hallway. Regardless.. Very wonderful result. Link to comment
geert 0 Posted December 29, 2001 I really like the idea and composition. The exposure of shadows is just fine, but it really is a shame that the highlights in the foreground are blown out. Are you sure there is no detail in the film? In that case adjusting the scanning parameters might give you a better picture. Anyway, this is realy nice Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted January 22, 2003 This stunning picture, fantastically exposed and composed, is not a hallway. It's the second floor of a Monastery's Cloister spectacularly shot taken advantage of natural light.Theo is a great photographer who, apart from his technical skills, has anothet fundamental skill for photographers: patience for the right moment (no toursts and the approppriate light) Link to comment
americo_vespucci 0 Posted February 21, 2003 WONDERFUL shot! - I like your portfolio a lot. thanks for sharing Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted May 13, 2006 Excellent work on the exposure and composition here, Theo. I have been there, too, and took this shot. But I did not handle the exposure so well as you did. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
