mawest 0 Posted June 13, 2003 IMO (of course)...Perhaps a bit soft on the focus and I might prefer more space on the left where she is looking. Nice outfit and pose!West Link to comment
jeff d 1 Posted June 13, 2003 This could be used in one of those "what they were thinking" essays that are featured in the Sunday New York Times magazine (you can look online at it). Below the picutre would be the thoughts of the child as this picture was snapped. I love this! She might be tired, happy, anxious, but there is a story here... please tell us!!! Great pictures capture you and hold your attention. That is what this picture did for me. Lighting is perfect! Bravo. 6/6 Link to comment
Jenifer Selwa Photography 0 Posted June 14, 2003 She's cute! A little bit of a "hot-spot" on the arm of the sofa, but lighting on the child is perfect. Maybe a slight crop would remove it? Nice composition! Link to comment
r.m. 8 Posted June 14, 2003 Beautiful subject & the light is superb. I would have cropped quite a bit, burned in some highlights, and focused all attention on her. The background detracts greatly imo. Link to comment
frank_vigil 0 Posted June 14, 2003 This is a wondderful photo of this little girl. I'm not sure if the soft focus was intentional or not, but it works quite nicely here. However, the print needs some work. Burn down the glare on the coffee table and crop in significantly more to elimnate the distracting furniture, window light, lamp, etc. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 14, 2003 Shane, I echo most of the critisms & comments above & offer my version for your consideration. We ignore backgrounds at our peril. That said, a lovely shot with a delightful subject. One for the family album. Best, LM. Link to comment
syuly 0 Posted June 14, 2003 thank you for your suggestions on the cropping I took your advice, it does look much better.. Link to comment
joe_garrick 0 Posted June 29, 2003 We ignore backgrounds at our peril.Aint' it the truth - what's that growing out of her head? I don't know, but it looks like a job for Photoshop to fix. As for the crop, I'm no longer certain what was originally posted, but a previous message has an attachment with a lot of open space on the left that I like. IMO the ideal crop might be somewhere between the current version and the attachment. Link to comment

brett_campbell 0 Posted April 6, 2004 Addorable,,,,, The righthand back ground alittle distracting, but she shines. Fantastic! Link to comment
lixin_an 0 Posted April 10, 2004 What a cute girl! If the distracted background could be removed, that would be 7. Link to comment
