Guest Guest Posted June 12, 2003 Very funny and grotesque shot. The dingy surroundings help the effect. If flash was used, it was used very subtly. Link to comment
nomennescio 0 Posted June 12, 2003 Part of an ongoing series, what do you think? No Photoshop manipulation of any kind! Link to comment
jeff_oxford 0 Posted June 12, 2003 Very intriguing shot. Did you hang the fish from string? With this photo, I envision a man inside the door cleaning the fish, having them thrown to him. Perhaps too much personal experience. None the less, intriguing photo. Link to comment
johnlund 0 Posted June 14, 2003 Terrific series! Each photo is interesting and aesthetically pleasing all by itself, but as a collection they are fascinating. Perhaps it's unfair of me to have this bias, but I'm thrilled to see that you didn't use post-processing for the floating/flying effect. Knowing that detail adds to the mystery and uniqueness of these images. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what to make of them, but the Latin cue from Ovid, given as a title to this series, helps. Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2003 Your series is not only funny and original, but also well executed. What a satisfaction to see such photos among all the sunsets, flowers and PS botches. And an even bigger satisfaction to see that there are still some people here who appreciated it! Thanks for being different. Link to comment
philmorris 0 Posted July 1, 2003 Great series of pics which must have been such fun to make. Of them all so far this is my favourite by some margin. Theyre all bizarre, deliberately, but this is the fish out of water personified. I think fish are far more bizarre than say mains operated whisking machines though perhaps not so bizarre as the self-inflating version (?) Put it this way, wouldnt the whisking machine in the bedroom look great if it had been photographed at the deep end of an Olympic swimming pool? Link to comment
