Although I am not entirely new to photography, I am always eager to

learn, so any comment will be appreciated very much.

Minimalism works here. What shall I do?

I'm not sure that the minimalist approach is the best choice here. The subject provokes too much curiousity and brings too much attention to it (him)-self so that the nuance of the surrounding space is lost. Of course that is only my opinion and I'll probably end up in the minority here.

Well, what caught me was the combination of the classic "alone on a desert island" situation - even a very small, hopeless and hostile island - and the mans attitude. His posture seems proud to say "I am the prime minister on this island". I thought it was kind of funny.

Re. Lars

I think my perception was influenced by your earlier minimalist work with its emphasis more on atmosphere than story. In other words I got carried along by previous works and this one caused me to jog a bit. From the point of view of "Prime Minister of the World's Smallest Island" it's a completely different story.
