Homeless guys

I like this a lot, with some hesitiations. First, you're right- the scan is a bit off. The inconsistant black border is a real detraction for me. And, to use a comment you put on my picture (And this is just a coincidence, i swear) i do think this could use a touch more DOF - hard to describe, but i think just a bit more would make it great. Nice shot overall, though! i love the sharpness and contrast between the skin tones, nice idea to desaturate into B&W

Thanks, this was just a quick scan and I didn't crop it that well. I have a bunch of shots of these guys I will submit later. Even one of this shot with more DOF. This was also my first post and I made a view mistakes.

interesting point of view to make the focus be the hands rather than the faces...definately conveys a feeling that these are people working/sticking together. Nice balance between the large unfocused faces and the relatively smaller sharp area of focus in th elower left.

Thank you. You hit the point of this photograph right on the money. These guys do work together and to them race is not an issue. They are very close friends who depend on each other for their survival.
