I do like this photo very much by the idea and composition. Nice detail that those two orange colored are the first and last one. Three pointing up and three down, nice balance - also to the thing on bottom left. Vivid colors give nice graphic impact, which I enjoy much.

This photo is very different to the rest of your photos, so all I can say to you: don't hesitate to capture this kind of details when you see them around you. But there is a question: do you feel yourself that this could be your style, way of seeing things, or is this only a one and only rare photo you happened to take?

Thanks for your inputs. I agree that this a very different composition from what I usually do, but I am still learning everyday. Whatever comes to my mind as appealing I shoot or try to compose. Some like it some do not (ratings for this photograph is a mere 3.17 till now). It is very difficult to do minimalistic images and still be able to pass the message. The trials and tribulations will continue......

I'm glad that you reolied to my comment as there are many, who don't care to communicate. You have been here on PN longer than me and remember how we had the two rates system: one for aesthetics, one for originality. On PN forum was lot discussion how most of members gave the same rating number and thus the system was of little value. I used to rated quite often and made it clear when a otherwise beutiful photo was like thousands others, without any personal vision. Just because you see the rating important I made an exeption here, otherwise one number is expressing too little as I see it. Are we photographing to satisfy ourselves or other members here? Also I like the removal of given ratings along the names as so often likely did cause issues like "Why did you give so low rating?" Let me give you a tip: take a look at the portfolios of PN members who have rated your photos. That way you will get better idea why you might get low ratings. Many members are simply quite traditional in photography, what and how they capture the world around them. Also note the difference between the original subject and post-processing effects.

I can empathize with your feelings. Not that I give undue importance to ratings, but I neither thwart them. It gives us a chance to do something better and maybe "communicate" with other like minded photographers with a picture. I liked the concept of originality and aesthetics, maybe add some more criteria to delve more into the philosophy of the shoot. I still believe placing one's name with the rating is important, but of late I don't have that facility, maybe I changed my settings. How can I get to know which one has rated what? I feel there should be obligatory criticisms attached to a rating, that way PN will be more interactive, especially amongst paid members like us. Why shouldn't we suggest that to the administrators?

Again, I'm glad that you care to keep up dialog. I wonder how much you follow various discussions about PhotoNet's features like this critique/rating system, and why I was changed to recent state. So, please let me give you two links for some reading (especially site administrator, Josh Root's opinions/decisions):

Identify Who Gave What Rating?

Another ratings change: Goodbye to individual ratings, hello averages

I'm afraid we woun't see any change any time soon, many long time memebers seem to be sick and tired to once again discuss this matter.

There is another similar site, Photosig.com, which I have visited occasionally quite long time ago. Feel free to check out their rules about rating. Different sites, different rules, so it goes.

Thanks for your inputs, but I could not open photosig :-(
I used to be in 'usefilm' also but I find PN more interesting.
