The moon falls through a veil of high clouds as twilight turns to stars. This is a blend of two images taken a couple minutes apart. The blend was neccessary to keep highlights visible in the boulder while keeping the brightness of the moon in check.

Dear Michael, I am always fascinated by the twilight - night photos. I like these dark colors with the saturated lights and the details which become only visible when I move the head in front of the monitor.

The rock in the soft water could also be a mountain reaching out of the fog.
