jimmcnitt 0 Posted June 11, 2003 No easy thing with a film camera. You obviously have much patience and a steady hand. Might be interesting to have some painted illumination in the BG -- maybe with a different colored light like a colored laser pointer? Link to comment
kezia 0 Posted June 11, 2003 I like the idea of the daisies looming up out of total darkness, although I think a few more petal points would improve it - maybe moving the light around a bit inside the flower to get rid of the circle of light effect. I hadn't thought of the coloured light in the background, but then I've never really tried this technique. The simplicity of your arrangement appeals to me. I think if it were me I'd just try it several times until you get the light quality that you think best. Jim is right, this must be quite difficult with film. How on earth do you decide on exposure? Did you just guess? Link to comment
andrew_harto 0 Posted June 12, 2003 Thank you. I used the spot metering function of the camera and then compensated for reciprocity failure. I did 3 other frames with different shutter speeds to bracket the exposure. Some came out darker and the others brighter. Link to comment
