helena_ludwig 0 Posted June 9, 2003 I especially like the motion-blurring which makes the photo even more exciting! Link to comment
richard blount 0 Posted June 9, 2003 :-( I like little fawns, this is nature, wonderful image caught at the height of the action. Very well balanced and the frame is great - Richard. Link to comment

davidorea 1 Posted June 11, 2003 One of the most amazing photos I've seen in Photo.net, Fred. The dried branchs around the hard scene give a perfect equilibrium. 8/8 Link to comment

seven 0 Posted June 12, 2003 I was going to ask "how are you keeping, Fred" but I see you're still sharp and out there and working magic with your shutter finger. The timing is superb, the event documented like this priceless. Incredible you used just a 200mm lens : lucky the deer was about, that might have been you. All the best. Link to comment
briany 0 Posted June 16, 2003 As was said above, it's simply a gorgeous shot taken at the perfect moment. As Seven noted, with a 200mm, were you protected from this beast?? Link to comment
mg 0 Posted June 19, 2003 Great timing indeed. Yet, you need to adjust your levels here a little. And a bit more detail in the fur wouldn't hurt, though it's ok. The composition is quite ok. Too bad about these dry branches in the foreground. A better angle would have resulted in a better image; you had no time to readjust, of course, but what matters for a viewer is the result, which is good here, yet could have been better on another day in another place.
