new to this myself but want to add this - may be a bit more diffused flash would be a better choice to try on - I can see the dark shadow on the left behind that tree in the foreground (vs the dogs shadow in the opposite direction) - nice exp balance overall (Also is that your shadown in the middle of the pic?) - Congrats

Thanks for your input Kiran, yes the flash should be more widely spread. I was using it handheld with a cable and trying to point to the dog and so the left part resulted a bit dark. The shadow in the middle I suppose it is not me as the the sun was ahead. regards
