I am far, I mean far, from an expert, but what I do if the light is bright, as I shoot a lot during the day, is to bracket the photo. I don't know if your camera has this built in or not. What is does it takes 3 pictures, 1 as set, one as one 1 stop under exposed and 1 as one stop over exposed. I usually get a decent photo this way. Of course this means that 2 frames are rejected but that is photographing. You can of coures set this yourself as you probably know. Still, I like this. Link to comment
