Good idea and work done with this material, the creation of shapes as such as the pattern for me is beautiful, the shapes created looks like onions. On the other hand, I like the level of contrast done as such as the tone, in my monitor looks like a duo tone with a touch of blue. Maybe if I do this fantastic image I would like to change a bit the post edition applying a soft correction to the corners with vignette tool, but at the end this topic is very personal and change a bit the image because the level of contrast decrease a bit I think that is a great work, minimalist, aesthetic and done with good taste for me of course. Barry, this is such a strong image, it has so many design elements working in harmony, line, repetition, shape, contrast, tone, have I missed any?. It really works well in black and white. Great work, rated accordingly 7, I shall also add it to my favorites.
