Somehow Christian it seems a shame the whole of the bench isn't in focus as the closest part dominates the image (thrusts into the viewer's face) but is fuzzy. Also it seems unfortunate that the whole of the bench isn't in the shot (you could have looked down more to achieve this & that would have helped eliminate that white building in the background).

This is an interesting perspective. However I feel it would be a much stronger image if the narrow depth of field were being used to draw the viewer's eye to something ON the bench, a person, for example. Or two people in the midst of a conversation causing us to wonder what they are talking about. As it is the blurry arm in the foreground draws the viewer's attention too strongly and dominates the image. Good try though.

It was a very cold, quiet morning that day in Portland and I was quite possibly the only person in the area. I shot this image as if somebody or something was actually sitting on the bench to the right. I thank everybody for the comments.
