ichtys7 0 Posted December 3, 2011 City Hall of Stockholm where the Nobel Prizes are rewarded. Late evening after sunset. Almost standing in the Lake that is behind me. Using Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L 1/10sec f/4 handheld. ISO400. Is the colour OK? Please give some nice comments - much appreciated! Thanks a lots! Best Regards, Charl Sweden Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted December 5, 2011 Hi Charl,Using fisheye lens is challenging. Since they capture an very large field of view, color balance is not always an easy task.Second, I tested the new Canon zoom fisheye lens in my optical lab, and found , like many fisheye lens, it does produce more blue content due to chromatic aberration (color error present in the design). This is seen on the perimeter of the image.I adjusted the scene by first reducing the blue channel input. This provided a little better color balance (relatively speaking, since I was not there to see what the real colors were across the scene)Often, changing the exposure will help in the scene dynamics (color development), but it will not eliminate the perimeter "blue" that is due to the design.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
