It's been a while since I've done bedroom photography. At first I

considered playing with the lighting (source was window light and a

single studio strobe) to get some shadows, but in the end I opted for the

clean and simple look. Too flat?

I think your lighting works very well here.  Yes, it is somewhat flat, but it's very soft and anything harsher just wouldn't work in this setting.  This image has a very delicate feel.  Nicely done!

I also like the lighting here, Teru. The high-key light along with her pose and expression is very effective is creating a just woke up mood. I don't mind the shallow depth-of-field but would have liked her left hand a bit sharper. You two have created a wonderful photograph.

I like just about everything in this shot except for the textured wall in the background.  As a small image, as I write, I can't tell the roughness is there.  When made bigger, my attention is drawn away from the girl to the wall. Her face is nice and soft (post processing ?)  Great color, tone and pose and expression.  I hope you continue with bedroom shooting...

Thanks for all the comments.

Not much post processing done aside from cropping and some minor curve adjustment. The difference in the model's face and body was due to her make-up. Didn't notice it at the time, but next time I'll have to throw some more light on her body.

Interesting comment about the wall. I actually had a choice between a smooth one and this, and I chose the latter because I liked the textured effect.
